What Do Shampoo, Dog Poo, and Meditation Have in Common?

Nothing I can think of. But there they are rattling around in my head. And this blog is supposed to be cathartic after all.

Anyway.

1) Meditation is stressing me out. Or at least it was, until I figured out that my attitude (to most things?) was, "I'm gonna kill it. I'm gonna meditate the hell out of this. I'm gonna be the best meditator everrrrr!" No harm in being motivated, but I'm pretty sure that sort of pressure is the opposite of the purpose of a meditative mindset. On the plus side, it did evidently increase my self-awareness. And maybe my Xanax dose... (No, I don't really need Xanax. Yet.)

2) I kinda love it when dogs poo. (I know. Left field. And I do mean outside in designated areas, of course; I admitted this quirk to myself over the weekend lying in the grass of the park down the street.) I know that's "gross." But they are so cute and vulnerable and shaky. And they all, big or small, dachshund or greyhound, do it exactly the same. The best is that flourish at the end that some territorial canines grace you with, scratching up the turf with their hind legs like deranged gardeners just to say, this--this right here!--is hallowed ground because I dropped a nugget for you.

Thanks, little buddy.

3) Why are shampoo and conditioner bottles the same size? You never run out of them at the same time, which is completely inefficient. Shame on you, personal care industry.

Right. You can start the presses again.
